It begins with our founder, departing from his homeland, Israel and following a path that would lead him to Berlin.

The journey is not always smooth and steady but in time, Guy found community, family and a place within the city.

This lead him to the humble corner shop on Gorlitzerstraße. Roots were put down and in 2016 Café Mugrabi was born. Transporting childhood memories of Israel, traditional food and homegrown hospitality, all bundled into one sunny corner in Kreuzberg.

Built with a strong emphasis on community and the joy of sharing great food and company.

Our principles put people first and we have been blessed to make and maintain great friendships along the way.

From calm beginnings, the café grew as the years went by into somewhat of a institution. Marrying fresh and exciting flavours with an atmosphere that would transport one to the Mediterranean.

Our doors open to all, the corner has become a melting pot of different cultures and walks of life. We cherish the locals and embrace the newcomers.

Not only a café, but a community, a home away from home.
